The testing equipment ElectroForce® 3450 is designed for hi-freq. QA testing and DMA analysis of viscoelastic materials - elastomers, composites and polymers. It's hi-performance load frame is very quiet, clean, low maintenance solution for component and material testing needs. The test instrument ElectroForce 3450 has a max. dynamic force capacity +/- 6 kN and displacement range - 22 mm., can measure dyn. properties - 0.001 Hz to 200 Hz. A cold/hot chamber can be added into the system to provide all temperature control - -150C to 315C. Also, an optional electromechanical quasidynamic actuator can be supplied for creep compensation. Applications for the ElectroForce 3450 include:
Elastomeric materials dynamic characterization (stiffness, modulus, tg or tandelta);
DMA of isolation vibration components (transmissibility, stiffness or damping);
Crack growth and relaxation/creep;
Durability and fatigue evaluation of polymer composities and engineered plastics.
